Hot in the Shade
We got together last night for rehearsal. It was hot as a two-dollar whore in hell! Our rehearsal room has an air conditioner from 1984. The sound of it makes us think that it’s working but within the first song, the room was scented with man sweat. Every five minutes following, we took turns stating how fucking hot it was. Why do we do that? It’s probably the same reason I like to CRACK my snare when Ang is not paying attention; it’s amusing! Nothing like seeing a grown man in flip flops get startled and then pissed within two seconds. He can’t stay mad at me though. He loves me. But seriously, I don’t do it on purpose. I’m just fucking tuning man! Lol… I had my little digital recorder handy when Ang and Joe started ball-breaking. I got most of the mayhem recorded without them knowing. Classic. It’s 10 minutes of great entertainment. I’ll try to post it up in here in a few as long as they give me the ok. Anyway, we sounded pretty on last night. Crash Theory and SLM sounded amazing. Something got into those songs. It feels like they have been reborn. If you’ve seen us live in the past two to three months you know we’ve been playing a few select tracks from the soon to be released second record. Last night we added a bunch more. They’re coming along outstanding. There is such a righteous vibe exuding from the new songs. A confidence, if you will! We have a few surprises in store for the CD release party. We were working out the details last night. How do you feel about dancing elephants? We’re still trying to get clearance. Whether we get them or not, it’s going to be such a fun night. If there is one show to come out to this summer make it this one. I don’t think we’re playing back in NY for the rest of the summer.
Late!
