Hardline Magazine review
Translation:
REVIEW:Sweet Cyanide is a band from the East Coast of the U.S.A who has taken upon itself the task of reinventing the music of the 70s (David Bowie can be mentioned here) making it engaging and accessible to the next generation. After listening to the album several times, I can say that the band has accomplished this extremely well. The ten songs have been put together so smoothly that the spirit of the 70s can be felt throughout, but Sweet Cyanide has packaged their tracks in a way that it never sounds outdated. To be exact, their sound is a grungy, powerful, and modern blend which in itself is an art. Besides David Bowie, I can think of T. Rex, Candy, and especially the Electric Angels i.e. The Loveless, to complete their musical picture. Not to mention the enormous hit potential of songs such as S.L.M, Certain Shadows, or Heartbreaker. Sweet Cyanide has managed a surprising Debut with this CD, that may not be for all of our readers, but is definitely worth checking out. One can make up their own mind at www.sweetcyanide.com
